We were lucky enough to have Trash Puppets at Ecotopia Earth Festival 2017. They fit the theme perfectly, were well organised and awesome people to have around. I highly recommend them.

Selling Points

  • Trash with a Porpoise will focus on the plight of our oceans, looking at the impact that humans have created, how it affects the flora and fauna and of course, what actions we can take to make positive change. Dry facts can be hard for children to engage with, but through our playful approach, we can not only get the information across, but do it in a fun and entertaining way.
  • Trash Puppets are renowned for producing strong educational resources for teachers to utilise pre- and post-performance, to deepen the engagement with our sustainability messaging in the classroom after a theatre excursion. Developing an “education kit” and encouraging the booking of our puppet making workshops to accompany a public performance in theatre, to provide a practical and creative outlet for families, are important elements in our show’s offer. Please see our Community Engagement Menu in our Marketing Links for more details
  • We are committed to offering a show where most members of our audience can see themselves represented on the stage. As a result of our open audition process in 2021, we have now booked a culturally diverse cast for the premiere season and future touring of this show.
