Producer: One Fell Swoop Circus and Nicholas Clark Management

Directed By: Charice Rust and Jonathan Morgan

A fusion of circus and sculpture, In Common is a thrilling exploration of tension and community.

Synopsis

A thrilling new work by One Fell Swoop Circus, In Common sees a seemingly impossible ‘tensegrity’ sculpture brought to life by the company’s signature style of acrobatics – heartfelt, powerful, and intimate.

Created for both theatres and outdoor public spaces, the 60-minute piece combines circus and sculpture as eight acrobats build a unique rigging apparatus on stage and perform breathtaking acrobatics on and around it. Virtuosic acrobatics and intricate choreography guide audiences through a visceral understanding of the care we owe others in our community and the safety nets we collectively weave.

An exploration of tension both structural and relational, In Common lets you experience the joy of throwing yourself into someone’s arms and the warm weight of bearing them.
